Job Description

Job Purpose:

To supervise and manage all scaffolding activities at site, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution in compliance with ADNOC, international standards (e.g., BS EN 12811), and project specifications. The role involves coordinating with engineering, safety, and construction teams to support ongoing operations and shutdown activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the erection, modification, and dismantling of various types of scaffolding (tube & fitting, system scaffold, etc.) on site.

  • Ensure scaffolding activities comply with HSE standards, company procedures, and project specifications.

  • Conduct daily inspections of scaffolding structures and issue Scaffolding Tag System (Green/Red tags) accordingly.

  • Interpret scaffolding drawings and provide clear instructions to the scaffolders.

  • Coordinate with site engineers, safety officers, and other supervisors to plan and prioritize scaffolding requirements.

  • Maintain daily reports, scaffold register, and records of inspection and handovers.

  • Ensure scaffolding team is adequately trained, certified, and equipped with necessary PPE.

  • Identify unsafe conditions or practices and take corrective actions promptly.

  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance activities by ensuring availability of required scaffolds.

  • Liaise with third-party inspectors or consultants when required.
