Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project planning, scheduling, and control within the Oil & Gas industry, along with proven GCC experience. The candidate must demonstrate strong technical capabilities in preparation of planning packages, project monitoring, and project control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Planning Packages, including project schedules, progress measurement systems, manpower histograms, and resource allocation plans.

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations from baseline, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Establish and manage project control processes for cost, schedule, and progress tracking.

  • Coordinate with project teams, engineering, procurement, and construction departments to ensure alignment with project objectives.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and dashboards for management and client review.

  • Assist in risk analysis, forecasting, and preparation of recovery or mitigation plans.

  • Support tender and proposal teams with planning and scheduling input during the bidding phase.

  • Participate in client and internal progress review meetings and provide schedule updates and insights.

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E.) – Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline.

  • Total Experience: Minimum 5 years.

  • Oil & Gas Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5 years (mandatory).

  • GCC Experience: Required (UAE experience preferred).

  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and planning/reporting tools.

  • Strong knowledge of Planning Package preparation, Project Monitoring, and Project Control procedures.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
