One of our esteemed client in Oman, is looking out for CBT Welding Inspector.  

$3159 for candidates having Aramco approval/CBT pass.

leave cycle 15 days paid leave after every six months.

All return trips will be booked & taken care by company.

Food, accommodation and transportation will be provided extra

CBT Welding inspector with experience in offshore structure fabrication in onshore yard  

Job Title: CBT Welding Inspector – Third Party Inspection (TPI)

Location: Oman (Onshore Fabrication Yard – Offshore Structures)

Job Summary
The CBT Welding Inspector (TPI) will act as an independent third-party representative to ensure that all welding and fabrication activities for offshore structures are executed in full compliance with client specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements. The role involves unbiased inspection, verification, and reporting to the client.

Key Responsibilities
a.    NDT Coordination
b.    Witness and validate NDT activities such as RT, UT, MT, and PT.
c.    Review NDT reports and ensure acceptance criteria compliance.
d.    Documentation & Reporting
e.    Review and endorse QA/QC documentation including:
f.    Welding procedures (WPS/PQR)
g.    Inspection reports
h.    Material traceability records
i.    Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and submit to client/TPI agency.
j.    Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
k.    Compliance & Standards
l.    Ensure adherence to: AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, ISO standards, Client specifications and project requirements
m.    Verify material identification and traceability.
n.    Stakeholder Coordination
o.    Interface with contractor QA/QC, client representatives, and project team.
p.    Provide technical clarification and inspection feedback.

Required Qualifications & Certifications
a.    Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
b.    CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI or equivalent (Mandatory).
c.    CBT Certification (as per client/project requirements).
d.    Knowledge of international codes and offshore fabrication standards.

Experience Requirements
a.    5–10 years in welding inspection.
b.    Mandatory experience in Third Party Inspection (TPI) assignments.
c.    Strong background in offshore structures (jackets, topsides, modules) fabricated in onshore yards.
d.    Experience in GCC (preferably Oman) is highly desirable.

Technical Skills
a.    Proficiency in welding processes: SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW.
b.    Strong understanding of fit-up tolerances and structural fabrication.
c.    Ability to read fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and weld maps.
d.    Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and documentation systems.
Soft Skills
a.    High integrity and impartiality (critical for TPI role).
b.    Strong reporting and documentation skills.
c.    Effective communication with multi-disciplinary teams.

Additional Requirements
a.    Willing to work in onshore yard environments.
b.    Ability to work under strict timelines and quality requirements.
c.    Immediate availability preferred.
