Job Description

Location: Vasai E
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience

Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any Bachelor’s degree

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, he/she will be responsible for over 1,000 unique mechanical SKUs, from inward receipt to floor issuance.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records for a diverse inventory of 1,000+ mechanical items (e.g., bearings, valves, fasteners, power tools, and engine components).
  • Daily Operations: Handle daily "Inward" and "Outward" processes, ensuring all physical movement matches digital records.
  • ERP & Documentation: Update the ERP system in real-time. Maintain meticulous Excel trackers for daily stock reports and reconciliation.
  • Stock Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical verification to ensure zero variance between physical stock and system data.
  • Storage Optimization: Organize the store layout using 5S principles to ensure easy accessibility, safety, and efficient space utilization.
  • Quality Check: Perform preliminary inspections of incoming mechanical goods against Purchase Orders (PO) and Technical Specifications.
  • Reporting: Generate Weekly/Monthly stock status reports and highlight slow-moving or obsolete items to the Store Manager.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in a Mechanical/Industrial Store.
  • Scale: Proven track record of managing a large-scale inventory (minimum 1,000+ line items).
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of inventory fundamentals:
    • FIFO/LIFO (First-In, First-Out).
    • ABC Analysis (Categorizing items based on value/importance).
    • Safety Stock & Reorder Levels.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP software (TCS, SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
    • Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas)
