Job Description

Location - Jamnagar - Gujarat

Expereince - 7 years +

Production Planning & Scheduling: Breaks weekly/daily plan into

shift-wise machine loading sheets; issues to both supervisors before each shift; sequences jobs to minimise changeover; flags capacity/material gaps

1 shift ahead; monitors plan vs. actual every 4 hrs.

• Multi-Shift Supervision: Guides both Day & Night supervisors; reviews shift handover logbooks daily; conducts shop floor walk at changeover; deputises for Production Manager during absences; identifies and addresses skill gaps.

• Material & WIP Flow: Approves MIS and MRN; enforces FIFO; weekly WIP reconciliation with Stores; tracks WIP ageing (>48 hrs = zero tolerance); manages raw material indenting with 5-day lead time.

• Process Engineering: Approves process parameter changes with documented justification; leads new job setup & FAI sign-off; investigates chronic tooling failures; updates Process Sheets & Control Plans; drives cycle time reduction and OEE improvement.

• Production Output & OEE: Owns daily/weekly/monthly output targets;

monitors shift-wise OEE (Availability × Performance × Quality); prepares monthly performance reports for Production Manager review.

• Quality Interface: Co-signs all FAI records; initiates RCA for in-process rejection >0.3% in any shift; co-ordinates corrective actions with Quality; provides PPAP/APQP data; conducts surprise traceability checks  2× per week.

• Manpower Planning: Prepares weekly operator allocation matrix; plans overtime; maintains Skill Matrix; initiates disciplinary escalations.

• 5S, Safety & Compliance: Weekly structured 5S audit; PPE compliance; near-miss reports within 24 hrs; shop floor audit-ready for ISO/IATF at all times.

• Reporting & Documentation: Owns: Daily Production Report, Weekly OEE Summary, Monthly Rejection Analysis, Downtime Report, Drawing Issue Register, Machine History Cards, Tooling Records.
