Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Spoolgen Operator to support piping fabrication and construction activities for our Mozambique LNG Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing piping spools using Spoolgen software, generating fabrication drawings, producing material take-offs, and ensuring accurate piping data management in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities                                                                                                                    

• Prepare piping spool drawings using Spoolgen software based on approved piping isometrics.
• Generate fabrication and erection spool packages for construction teams.
• Create material take-offs (MTO) and support material tracking activities.
• Review piping isometrics, P&IDs, and construction drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Piping, QA/QC, and Construction departments regarding spool revisions and updates.
• Maintain spool status tracking and fabrication progress records.
• Ensure proper database management and document control within Spoolgen and related systems.
• Identify and report clashes, inconsistencies, and design issues affecting fabrication activities.
• Support welding traceability, NDT tracking, and turnover documentation requirements.
• Prepare reports related to spool production, fabrication progress, and completion status.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, client requirements, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Spoolgen Operator in LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Pipeline, or EPC projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Spoolgen Software.
• Strong understanding of piping isometrics, P&IDs, and fabrication workflows.
• Experience with piping fabrication, erection, and material control processes.
• Familiarity with weld mapping, fabrication tracking, and quality documentation.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Good command of English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in large-scale LNG projects.
• Knowledge of SmartPlant, AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, or related piping software.
• Experience supporting module fabrication yards or site construction activities.
• Strong reporting and document management skills.
