Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Wax & Pre-Casting Work

* Operate and maintain wax injection machines
* Produce high-quality wax models from molds
* Assemble wax trees efficiently for production
* Perform proper sprueing to ensure optimal metal flow

Casting Preparation

* Prepare and manage investment mixtures
* Conduct flask preparation and burnout cycles
* Ensure proper kiln operation and temperature control

Metal Casting

* Perform casting of metals including:
    * Gold
    * Silver
    * Copper
    * Brass
    * Bronze
* Understand and manage:
    * Metal melting temperatures
    * Metal flow characteristics
    * Shrinkage and porosity control

Technical Knowledge

* Apply knowledge of metal refraction / behavior during melting and solidification
* Monitor casting defects and troubleshoot issues
* Ensure consistency in casting quality

Post-Casting

* Devesting and cleaning of cast pieces
* Basic finishing and quality inspection
