Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of piping and mechanical commissioning activities across assigned systems.

Plan, coordinate, and execute. 

Leak testing (hydrotest / pneumatic test)

Flushing and cleaning activities

Air / steam blowing operations

Mechanical alignment (rotating & static equipment)

Functional and endurance testing of equipment

Ensure all systems are ready for testing (line checks, reinstatement, isolation boundaries, test limits)

Prepare, review, and manage test packs, procedures, and method statements

Coordinate closely with QA/QC to ensure proper completion of ITRs and certification records

Interface with vendors during commissioning of mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)

Verify installation completeness and readiness prior to commissioning

Participate in system walkdowns, manage punch items, and ensure timely closure

Track and update system status via Completion Management System (CMS)

Act as a key interface between Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, Vendors, and Client

Lead technical discussions and resolve field issues during commissioning activities

Provide regular progress updates, identify risks, and propose mitigation actions

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects

Proven hands-on experience managing both

Piping commissioning activities (hydrotest, flushing, blowing, leak testing)

Mechanical commissioning (alignment, functional & endurance testing)

Strong field experience — ability to manage site execution end-to-end

Solid understanding of commissioning workflows, safety practices, and industry standards

Experience with ITRs, test packs, and system completion processes

Familiarity with Completion Management Systems (CMS)

Strong communication skills with vendors and client representatives

Fluent in English
