Job Description – Welding Supervisor (Oil & Gas)

Position: Welding Supervisor
Industry: Oil & Gas
Location: Qatar

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all welding activities at the project site.
• Execute and monitor pipe erection, pipeline erection, mechanical erection, and equipment erection activities.
• Ensure welding work is carried out as per approved WPS, drawings, client specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor weld quality, fit-up, alignment, and productivity of welders and fabricators.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Construction, and Safety teams for smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company procedures, and Qatar project regulations.
• Prepare daily progress reports, manpower planning, and work schedules.
• Inspect welding consumables, materials, tools, and equipment before execution.
• Ensure timely completion of work within project schedule and required quality standards.
• Supervise fabrication and erection teams independently at site.

Requirements

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum experience in Oil & Gas industry required.
• Strong experience in:
  • Pipe Erection
  • Pipeline Erection
  • Mechanical Erection
  • Equipment Erection
• Good knowledge of welding procedures, isometric drawings, and site execution activities.
• Ability to manage manpower and supervise site activities independently.
• GCC/Qatar experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in Oil & Gas project.
