Mechanical Technician – Corrosion Protection - Asset Integrity - Inspection

### Key Responsibilities

1. Corrosion Protection – Cortec

* Apply and install corrosion protection products, including VpCI solutions, coatings, emitters, films, packaging and preservation systems.
* Carry out corrosion prevention and preservation activities for mechanical equipment, pipelines, tanks, electrical equipment and other industrial assets.
* Conduct site assessments and recommend suitable corrosion mitigation solutions.
* Assist in preparing corrosion protection procedures, work instructions and technical reports.
* Support product demonstrations and customer training on Cortec solutions.
* Monitor the effectiveness of corrosion protection systems and recommend improvements.

2. Inspection & Asset Integrity

* Conduct visual inspections of industrial equipment, structures, pipelines, vessels, tanks and mechanical assets.
* Assist with asset integrity inspections in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
* Support NDT activities, including inspection preparation and reporting of findings.
* Perform condition assessments and maintain photographic and inspection records.
* Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
* Identify defects, corrosion, coating failures, leaks and equipment deterioration and report findings to the Engineering/Asset Integrity team.

3. ROV Inspection Support

* Assist with ROV inspection activities for confined spaces, underwater, offshore and difficult-to-access areas.
* Support ROV mobilization, equipment setup, maintenance and operational checks.
* Monitor and record ROV inspection data, images and videos.
* Assist in reviewing inspection findings and preparing reports.
* Coordinate with clients, engineers and inspection personnel during ROV operations.
* Ensure inspection equipment is maintained, calibrated and ready for deployment.

4. Field Operations

* Perform site inspections, surveys and technical assessments.
* Ensure all work complies with client specifications, international standards and HSE requirements.
* Coordinate with project teams, supervisors, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure required equipment and materials are available.
* Maintain inspection tools, testing equipment and consumables.
* Support project mobilization and demobilization activities.
* Participate in customer meetings and toolbox talks when required.

### Candidate Requirements

* Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Corrosion Technology, Asset Integrity or a related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, asset integrity, corrosion protection, inspection or Oil & Gas services.
* Experience with Cortec VpCI products or similar corrosion protection systems is highly preferred.
* Experience in industrial inspection, asset condition assessment and field reporting.
* Good knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, coating systems, preservation techniques and equipment maintenance.
* Experience supporting ROV inspections for offshore, marine, underwater or confined-space applications will be an advantage.
* Familiarity with inspection techniques and relevant industry standards.
* Ability to read engineering drawings, inspection procedures and technical documents.
* Good report-writing and documentation skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* NACE / AMPP Coating Inspector or Corrosion Certification
* API 510 / API 570 / API 653 or equivalent
* ASNT Level II – UT / PT / MT / VT
* IRATA Rope Access
* ROV Pilot / ROV Operations Training
* H₂S
* Confined Space Entry
* Working at Height
* Basic Offshore Safety Training
* First Aid / Fire Fighting and other relevant HSE certifications
