HR Executive

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
Manage end-to-end recruitment for various positions across supermarket/retail operations.
Coordinate sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, and onboarding of employees.
Work closely with department heads and management to understand manpower requirements.
Maintain a pipeline of suitable candidates for current and future vacancies.
Support recruitment and onboarding of both local and expatriate employees, as applicable.

Employee Relations
Handle day-to-day employee queries, grievances, and workplace concerns.
Maintain positive employee relations and support management in resolving employee-related matters.
Conduct employee counselling and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.

HR Operations & Administration
Maintain employee records, personnel files, contracts, and HR documentation.
Manage attendance, leave, overtime, and other employee records.
Coordinate with accounts/payroll teams for monthly payroll processing.
Ensure timely completion of joining, transfer, promotion, and exit formalities.
Prepare regular HR reports and manpower-related MIS for management.

Policy & Compliance
Implement and communicate company HR policies and procedures.
Ensure HR practices comply with applicable local requirements and company policies.
Maintain proper documentation relating to employee contracts, work permits, visas, and other applicable formalities.
Coordinate with management and relevant external agencies on employment-related matters when required.

Performance & Development
Support the performance appraisal process.
Identify training and development requirements in consultation with department heads.
Assist in implementing employee training, induction, and development programs.

Retail Workforce Management
Support HR requirements for supermarket/store operations, including frontline and support staff.
Monitor manpower availability, staffing levels, absenteeism, and employee turnover.
Work closely with store/operations managers to address workforce-related issues.
Ensure adequate staffing support for operational requirements.

Candidate Profile
Graduate/MBA/PG Diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline.
3–7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG, hospitality, or a large workforce environment.
Strong knowledge of general HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
Experience in recruitment and handling frontline/blue-collar as well as staff-level employees.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
Ability to work independently and adapt to an overseas work environment.
Candidates with prior international/overseas work experience will be an advantage.
Candidate must be willing to relocate to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
