Certification:

Experience:

9+ years in Electrical Utility protection filed

Duties and Responsibilities

Special Skills & Knowledge:

• Capable of carrying out electrical protection calculations, short circuit studies, CT calculations
• Detailed short circuit fault calculation, Distance zone calculation
• Experienced on at least two reputed relay algorithms and functions used EHV system
• In depth knowledge about protection application software and relay co-ordination
• Power system conceptual knowledge and technical know how
• Detailed grid station design capability.
• Have the knowledge of IEC Standards

Main Responsibility

• Protection Design Development
• Protection Design Review
• Protection Design Approval

The Protection Design Expert shall be deputed for the following activities (not limited):

• Design & review of CTs & VTs requirement as per decided SLD and their sizing calculation.
• Design & review of PMD (Protection & Metering Diagram) as per OETC philosophy and standards.
• Relay list review to meet OETC related documents and standards.
• Review relay configuration and parameterization
• Coordination with CRP builders and scheme drawing review to match the requirements.
• Relay setting calculation and review.
• Manage each project’s relays project files
• Develop OETC protection system Design and provide technical support 
• Other protection related activities

Conditions

• The proposed Expert must be consultant’s own employee, not outsourced
• The proposed Expert to be assessed and accepted by Protection Department
