Skilled Technician and Mechanic for Diesel Generator Maintenance

Diploma or Graduate in Electrical Engineering (full time course) with at least 5yrs. Relevant Experience with a Generator sets and Electrical distribution system.

Must have knowledge and experience in installation, operation and Maintenance of Diesel / Petrol Engine including electrical parts and components.

Must have knowledge and experience in Overhaling of various types & Capacity of Engines and other components, Inspect Generator parameters and other electrical components.

Read technical diagrams and blueprints.

Troubleshoot or Diagnose electrical issues in Gen sets using appropriate of testing devices

The candidate should have a minimum knowledge of Electrical Technician roles for generator sets, as follows:

Electrical Fault finding on Diesel Gen Sets.

Load test.

Electrical protection on Generators.

Servicing or Electrical overhauling of Generators.

How to perform/confirm protection is working correctly.

Types of Controller and Automatic voltage regulators AVR.

Type of generators you work with model name.

Electrical faults and its trouble shooting.

Acceptable values for lube oil pressure, water temperature.
