Electrical and Instrumentation Sr. Engineer

Minimum 10 years in Oil and Gas, LNG, EPC, or Industrial Construction Projects
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline

Job Summary

The Electrical and Instrumentation Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all E and I construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and quality control activities within the Mozambique LNG Project. The role requires extensive LNG and large-scale industrial project experience, ensuring all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities on site.

Manage installation of power distribution systems, substations, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, lighting systems, earthing and lightning protection systems.

Oversee installation and calibration of field instruments, analyzers, control systems, DCS, ESD, F&G systems, and telecommunications systems.

Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, method statements, and work procedures.

Coordinate with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Prepare construction schedules, progress reports, manpower forecasts, and resource planning.

Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and handover activities.

Ensure all activities comply with project quality standards and HSE requirements.

Participate in technical meetings, inspections, and client walk-downs.

Resolve engineering and construction issues to minimize project delays.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering experience.

Proven experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Offshore EPC projects.

Strong knowledge of IEC, NFPA, IEEE, API, and other international standards.

Experience with DCS, SIS/ESD, F&G, and instrumentation control systems.

Previous experience in large-scale LNG projects is highly preferred.

Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

Fluent English communication skills.
