Job Description

Hiring: ELV Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Location: Qatar
Experience: 3–5 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ELV Testing & Commissioning Engineer to execute testing, commissioning, integration, and handover of various ELV systems for commercial, infrastructure, and large-scale building projects.

Key Responsibilities

Test, commission, and integrate ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA/VA, BMS, Structured Cabling, ICT Networks, AV Systems, Intercom, Nurse Call, and Building Automation.
Review ELV drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Perform cable continuity, OTDR, Fluke, insulation resistance, and point-to-point testing.
Configure controllers, servers, workstations, and software platforms.
Integrate ELV systems with MEP systems using BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, KNX, OPC, and other industry protocols.
Conduct functional, performance, load, and failover testing.
Prepare commissioning reports, test records, as-built documentation, and O&M manuals.
Support client demonstrations, training, snag clearance, and final project handover.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with ELV testing equipment such as OTDR, Fluke Cable Certifier, Multimeter, and Network Analyzer.
Strong knowledge of IP Networking, VLANs, Subnetting, and ELV system integration.
Ability to read ELV shop drawings, riser diagrams, SLDs, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LonWorks, OPC, and TCP/IP.
Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, ISO, NEC, and relevant fire & safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply.
Preferred certifications: BICSI, CCNA, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Axis, Hikvision, PMP, CxA, or CBCP.

Experience Required

3–5 years of ELV Testing & Commissioning experience.
Hands-on experience with multiple ELV systems.
Experience in high-rise buildings, hospitals, airports, data centers, smart buildings, or other large construction/MEP projects.
Experience handling commissioning activities for projects exceeding 10,000 sq. m is preferred
